Written by Beth Huthart

Record Store Day is an annual event that takes place nationwide and is set to celebrate it’s 10th anniversary this year with Record Store Day 2017 taking place on Saturday 22nd of April. The event is held to celebrate the independent record shops across the UK and aims to celebrate their ‘unique culture’.

To celebrate there are set to be over 500 exclusive releases including live albums from David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Kate Nash, and Izzy Bizu to name a few. The exclusive releases will be vinyls and cassettes. As well as hosting this large scale event once a year the creators of Record Store Day also hold events throughout the year celebrating independent music.

All releases are exclusives for the day and are limited stock so check out Record Store Day’s website to see a full list of releases and participating stores near you!
